The Challenge—

High volume. Fast turnaround.

OFFICE PRODUCT Corporation USA* needed 15 color sales brochures translated and typeset for a new product launch. The brochures had been assembled in QuarkXPress and Illustrator. The entire project had to be ready to print—translated and formatted identically to the English version—within 45 days.

The Solution—

Work smarter with cutting-edge technology.

When you're under pressure to meet a deadline, you shouldn't have to choose between accuracy and speed. That's why LWT Communications uses translation memory—a type of software that stores and reuses terms and phrases as content goes through revisions and updates—to ensure that our translations are precise and error-free, and that our print-ready documents are flawless.

About 50% of the text was repeated in each sales brochure. Using translation memory we were able to leverage the repeated text automatically, which speeded the process. No one ever had to translate or type the same sentence twice. Not only that, but we were also able to verify that every term, phrase, and sentence was consistent with the company's standard usage and style. As well, translation memory gave us the ability to separate the text from the formatting instructions. This meant that after translation, the text could be stripped back into the page layout template, where it automatically acquired all the formatting associated with the original, including pagination, bullets, fonts, and graphics.

The Proof—

Timely delivery. Precise translation. Print ready layout.

We delivered the 15 color brochures, translated and ready to print, before their deadline. Our cutting-edge technology, in the hands of highly trained, experienced translators, allowed us to leverage OFFICE PRODUCT Corporation's translation assets and give them an excellent return on their investment. We did in days what used to take months. And OFFICE PRODUCT Corporation USA continues to look to LWT Communications for translation solutions.

For more than a decade, OFFICE PRODUCT Corporation USA has counted on LWT Communications to translate marketing materials, sales brochures, technical documentation and owner's manuals for hardware and software. The client provides documents in their native format—Quark, Framemaker, HTML, XML, or anything else—and we return them the same way.
